Poor Puppy

We have some sad news. This morning our mastiff, Tico, was apparently hit and drug under a car. She is still with us but is in for a long recovery. She dislocated her left hind hip and tore all the ligaments leading to the foot on that same leg. She has a lot of "road rash" on her belly and the inside of that leg so the vet is concerned about slinging it. However, the sling is what she needs to allow her hip to heal, like when a football player dislocates a shoulder and has it in a sling immobile against his chest.

She is such a good girl - she was in SO much pain but was trying to follow Jon around before we got her to the vet. Needless to say we are in for big vet bills and lots of $$$ invested in her.

Hopefully, with lots of TLC and good rehab she will continue to have a good quality of life.

I'll post some pics of her when I can. She is a pretty girl and so sweet.
